Casavono vs Photowall: Wider Panels on Heavier PVC-Free Papers
Casavono and Photowall both print wall murals to the size of your wall. Here is what sets Casavono apart: original scenic designs, heavier PVC-free papers, 30 in panels, a Pre-Pasted option and fast free delivery.
Quick answer: Casavono prints original scenic murals on three PVC-free papers from 190 to 370 gsm, including a Pre-Pasted option, in 30 in panels against Photowall's 17.7 in, so a 12 ft wall takes 5 panels instead of 9. Shipping is free, with duties included.
Both companies print murals to the exact width and height of your wall, so neither sells fixed rolls. What sets Casavono apart is the collection, the paper and the panel: original scenes drawn as wall murals, printed on heavier PVC-free papers, in wider panels that leave fewer joins. Every fact about Photowall below comes from its own website.

Original scenes, drawn as wall murals
Casavono keeps a collection of more than 300 original designs: scenic panoramas, florals, botanicals, chinoiserie, animals and cityscapes. Each one is drawn as a wall mural from the start, not cropped from a picture. Quiet areas and a horizon placed at the right height mean the scene still reads when a sofa, a bed or a sideboard stands in front of it.
Many of our landscapes recall an eighteenth-century oil painting or a chinoiserie silk wallpaper, in muted creams, sages, stones and charcoals that sit easily in a living room or bedroom. Every design is priced the same, and we can tailor one in scale and colour to suit your room. A fully bespoke scene is possible by email.
Heavier PVC-free papers, including Pre-Pasted
Every Casavono design is available on three papers, and none of them contains PVC:
- Non-Pasted, 190 gsm: a smooth matte non-woven for dry rooms, hung with wallpaper paste.
- Pre-Pasted, 300 gsm: a textured non-woven that you hang by wetting the back, with no paste to mix, and it handles a well-ventilated bathroom or kitchen.
- Peel and Stick, 370 gsm: a woven polyester fabric that stays repositionable for 24 hours after hanging, made for renters.
All three carry an ASTM E84 Class A fire rating (US), and the inks are GreenGuard certified and meet the EN 71-3 toy-safety standard, which matters in a nursery or a child's room. The full specifications are on our Quality and guarantees page.
Photowall lists four finishes, Satin, Classic Matte, Premium Matte and Peel and Stick, all on FSC certified non-woven and PVC-free. A pre-pasted paper is not among them, and its pages do not list paper weights, so we compare the panel instead.
Wider panels, fewer seams
This is the clearest physical difference. Casavono prints straight-match panels 76 cm (30 in) wide, with the edges already trimmed, so each panel goes straight on the wall. Photowall panels are 45 cm wide and arrive on one continuous roll that you cut along printed guidelines.
On a wall 12 ft wide, that is 5 Casavono panels against 9 Photowall panels: four fewer joins running through the scene, four fewer panels to line up, and less time on the ladder. On a large landscape, where a seam can cross a tree or a horizon, fewer joins keep the picture whole.

A large sample on the real paper, credited back
A mural fills a whole wall, so we suggest seeing the paper first. Our sample is a 30 x 20 in piece of the real paper you choose, for $34 or $45. Its full price comes back as a credit on your mural within 90 days, so the sample costs nothing if you go ahead.
Before you order, measure the wall at its widest and tallest points. Our wallpaper calculator adds up several walls, and how much wallpaper do I need explains the margins. When the mural arrives, follow how to hang a wall mural.
